My Bank Account by Stephen Leacock Summary questions -answers in hindi

Summary :-

My Bank Account is a beautifully comic story by Stephen Leacock. Mr. Leacock McGill is the main character of this story. This was when he was Professor of Political Science in the University. When his salary increased, he thought to save some money, for which he decided to open a bank account, but he was always afraid of the bank, because he was not familiar with the method of opening a bank account. That's why when he went there, he was scared to see the atmosphere of the bank, because he had never been to the bank before. 

He went to the bank and requested the bank employee that he wanted to talk to the manager in private. The accountant obeyed him and took him to the manager, thinking that he was some rich man who had come to deposit a lot of money in the bank, the manager took him to a private room. There he told the manager that he wanted to open an account with fifty-six dollars. Hearing this, the manager changed his attitude and sent him back to the accountant. His account was opened. But he saw that people in the bank were looking at him with derision. He got scared seeing this. 

     The author is about to leave the bank, when he remembers that he does not have money to meet his current expenses. So he plans to withdraw six dollars from the bank, but in a panic he writes a check for fifty-six dollars, thus withdrawing the entire amount from his account.He gives all the money to the clerk, the clerk gets shocked. The clerk asks him if he wants to withdraw the full amount. In panic, he does not tell the clerk that he has written the amount by mistake, he answers yes. In this way, all the money in the account is returned to the author, and his account is closed, the bank employees are surprised to see such a customer.

    मेरा बैंक खाता स्टीफन लीकॉक की एक सुंदर हास्य कहानी है। मिस्टर लीकॉक मैकगिल इस कहानी के मुख्य पात्र है।  यह तब की बात है, जब वह विश्वविद्यालय में राजनीति विज्ञान के प्रोफेसर थे। जब उनका वेतन बढ़ गया तब उन्होंने कुछ पैसे बचाने के लिए सोचा, जिसके लिए उन्होंने बैंक में अकाउंट खुलवाने का फैसला किया , लेकिन वह हमेशा बैंक से डरते थे , क्योंकि वे बैंक में खाता खोलने की विधि से परिचित नही थे। इसलिए जब वे वहां गए तो बैंक का माहौल देखकर घबरा गए , क्योंकि इससे पहले कभी बैंक नही गए थे।

वह बैंक गए और बैंक के कर्मचारी से अनुरोध किया की वह मैनेजर से अकेले में बात करना चाहते है। मुनीम ने उनकी बात मानते हुए मैनेजर के पास ले गया, मैनेजर ने सोचा कि वह कोई  अमीर आदमी है जो बैंक में बड़ा धन जमा करने आया है यह सोचकर मैनेजर उसे एक निजी कमरे में ले गया। वहाँ उसने मैनेजर से कहा कि वह छप्पन डॉलर से खाता खोलना चाहता है। यह सुनकर मैनेजर ने रवैया बदलते हुए ,उसे वापस अकाउंटेंट के पास भेज दिया। उनका खाता खुल गया । लेकिन उसने देखा कि बैंक में लोग उसे उपहास की दृष्टि से देख रहे थे। यह देख वह घबरा गए।

लेखक बैंक से निकलने वाला होता है तभी उसे याद आता है कि उसके पास अपने वर्तमान खर्च के लिए पैसे नहीं हैं। इसलिए वह बैंक से  छह डॉलर निकालने का सोचता है लेकिन घबराहट में वह छप्पन डॉलर का चेक लिख देता है ऐसे उसके खाते की पूरी रकम निकल जाती है । वह सारे पैसे क्लर्क को दे देता है,  क्लर्क हैरान हो जाता है। क्लर्क उससे पूछता है कि क्या वह पूरी रकम निकालना चाहते है? घबराहट में वह क्लर्क को यह नही बता पता है की उसने गलती से यह रकम लिख दी है, वह हां में जवाब दे देता है । इस तरह अकाउंट का सारा पैसा वापस लेखक को मिल जाता है, और उसका अकाउंट बंद हो जाता है , बैंक कर्मचारी ऐसे ग्राहक को देखकर हैरान हो जाते है।
